A buttload of leftist (and condescending righty) blogs are accusing “the right” of hysterically trying to make a big deal of this story. The fact is, it’s the parents of kids who might be exposed to Obama’s bullshit who are driving the story: the plain fact is, a lot of people detest the guy and everything he stands for, and they don’t want him talking to their kids directly about anything. To borrow a phrase, he’s not our president. We don’t respect him as such, and we won’t afford him the niceties that come with the office. Pay back is a bitch, isn’t it Koskids?

Inglourious Basterds: entertaining, but not up to it’s own hype

Torrented Inglourious Basterds the other day and watched it last night. The link goes to a good cam copy with hard-coded subs. Until very recently, the only copy available had Russian (in cyrillic) subs, while the audio was in the original’s French, German, Italian and English languages (depending on the script, different speakers speak different languages, their own and other languages used for plot points) and the movie was virtually impossible to follow unless you knew those languages.

Pretty good, a bit scary for the 3 year old (he was clinging pretty tightly in one section, we kinda regretted getting him into it, but he wailed when we tried to turn it off or skip part, and it had a happy ending).

We call it trolling as posting. He’s trying to gin up comment thread outrage. Jeffords and Specter got nothing on this boy.
